Welcome to Friend Fridays! This is where we try to capitalize on the fame of our friends under the guise of being supportive and encouraging! Trust us. In the art business, a lot of it (unfortunately) has to do with who you know. If you’re lucky, maybe your work will have something to do with it.
Nullsleep makes music on Nintendo Game Boys (usually) and it is at times dark, noisy, and intense. This is a video from when we played a show together at Reggie’s here in Chicago. He also has these cool t-shirts for sale.
We shot the video on our 8mm video camera and exploited the analog connection to the computer capture box to create some of the video distortion effects. Additionally we used video feedback and computer editing to match the mood and sounds from the audio. One day we’ll save up enough money to get an HD camera, but until then, there is still fun to be had with old technology………isn’t that right 8bitpeoples?
